CONFIRMING YOUR LESSONS

 

Confirming your lessons after they have been completed is how you get paid. It also gives you an opportunity to share feedback with the parent and schedule in your next weekly session.

The whole process will take less than a minute (or a few minutes if it is a first session) and needs to be completed within 12 hours of the session occurring.

 

CONFIRMING YOUR SESSION IN DASHBOARD:

When confirming a lesson you are asked 3 rating questions and one general feedback question – all of which are sent directly to the parent of your student.

After the lesson, log in to Dashboard. You should see the lesson waiting there to be confirmed (or head to ‘unconfirmed sessions).

Click confirm and enter the length of session. Add your ratings and feedback.

On the next page, enter the date and time of the next session – this will usually be the same time next week unless you have discussed otherwise with the student. If it is your first session with the student, this process is slightly different and will be discussed later.

Hit confirm. The lesson will disappear and you will receive confirmation by email.

 

 


 

RESCHEDULING SESSIONS:

If you or your student need to move a scheduled session, you can do this in Dashboard with just a few clicks.

Find the session you need to reschedule – it is upcoming you will find it in sessions > upcoming sessions. If it was meant to happen already then it should be in unconfirmed sessions.

Click reschedule and enter the new date and time. Hit submit and it will move automatically.

Important note: rescheduling a session in Dashboard does not notify the parent – you need to ensure you discuss this with your student prior to rescheduling it in the system.

 

 


 

PENALTIES APPLY FOR NOT CONFIRMING YOUR SESSIONS WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME

Confirming your sessions on time is so important so we do everything possible to make it fast and convenient for you to do this.
If a session remains unconfirmed after 4 days a $5 late confirmation penalty will apply to your payment for that session, and your rate of pay will be reduced by $5. You will receive 2 emails and at least one SMS reminder before this happens.
If your session did not happen for whatever reason, then please reschedule it – do not leave it unconfirmed for us to follow up.
Following up on unconfirmed sessions is a huge chew of time and resources that could be much better spent in many other ways, so please be considerate and log your sessions at the earliest possible opportunity.

 

NIC'S HOT TIP:

We want to equip you with the skills you’ll need in the workplace, and logging your sessions on time shows you have the discipline, consistency and time-management skills that so many employers look for. We take your logging time in to consideration when awarding tutor of the month or writing a referral, and repeat offenders may find themselves unable to accept new students. Please help us with this and build the habit of confirming each session as they occur.
