Take a nap

Call the Alchemy office to let them know you are done

Confirm the session in Dashboard ASAP and submit feedback that is sent directly to the parent.

Wait a few days before logging the session.

#2 How often should you aim to have sessions with your student?

Every week - because consistency is important!

Once a month - because life is busy.

Occasionally - when you have a free afternoon.

Every third Thursday.

#3 What is expected regarding the location of tutoring sessions conducted at home?

In the student's private room for focused learning

In a common area like a dining table that has sight lines to a parent/guardian

In the student's bedroom study area for comfort

In a common area that is private from the rest of the household

#4 To trigger a 10 sessions payment increase, you need to:

Submit a 10 session progress report for that student.

Email Alchemy asking for the increase.

Call the Alchemy office.

Ask a friend.

#5 Once you have received confirmation of payment by email, how long will it take to clear in your account?

#6 Who requires a Working with children check?

No one

Any tutor that is over the age of 18

#7 Once you accept a student, what is the first thing you need to do?

Eat something.

Make a welcome call to the parent, introduce yourself and confirm the details.

Start to plan your content for the lesson.

Read a book.

#8 If a parent asks you about payments but you aren’t sure, you should:

Just take a guess and hope you give the right information

Ask them to get in touch with the Alchemy office and remind them we will be in touch following the first session

Say nothing and stand there awkwardly

Giggle and shrug

#9 To avoid receiving a penalty, lessons must be confirmed in Dashboard within:

21 days.
